It's apparent you know nothing about TCL. I have a TCL 8 Series in my bedroom, and it's just as good as any of the upper tier TV's from the that year, excluding OLED.

Only eight watts each. But this and every other tv today has the optical output. Buy a good soundbar and use it with your next three tvs.

If TVs are this cheap now, should be able to get something similar for around 100 on Black Friday. Amazon is already advertising a TV for $112 for their sale this week.

The cheapest 55 inch tv that Consumer Reports currently recommends is the Samsung UN55TU8300. It scored very good for sound quality but only fair for hdr and viewing angles and good for motion blur. Or you can grab a refurbished Sony 55X90J from Secondipity's Ebay store for $500 but that only scored good for sound quality and viewing angles but very good for hdr and motion blur. Microcenter sells the refurbished 55 inch LG C1 for $800 if you didn't mind spending a bit more and wanted something you can buy in store.

If whoever owns RCA now paid CR they'd review the TV and probably recommend it as budget friendly
