"Warranty: 2 Year Limited 3rd Party Warranty"

Sounds like this is being sold without the LG factory warranty...which raises a big red flag in my eyes.

That stand was not built for the tv. If someone bumps this thing slightly it might come down . Im all for sleek designs but the c1 was sleeker and shoulda kept that stand!
I have this LG C2 65" when it first came out earlier this year thru my EPP for $2K and the 10" deep center stand is secured to the TV with 4 bolts and mines hasn't moved. I have a center speaker floating 3mm above it with an adjustable speaker stand behind the tv and it hasn't bumped it unless you're poking on the tv. I bought it partially for the center stand. I HATE wide duck feet skinny stands!

Here are the quotes I got. Big name NATIONAL retailer, prices are new in box with with delivery (the guy actually placed mine right inside my front door). Prices shown are for the unit plus a 5-year (including BURN IN) warranty, free shipping, but tax was added on.

77CX: 2300+400

65CX: 1100+150

48CX: 700+150

As much as I wanted the 77, I went with the 65 as it was plenty good enough for my space.

Also I'm absolutely positive that they still made a profit on the sale, which tells you just how bad the retail markup is. LG is enjoying their monopoly. I'm really glad vizio and philips are entering the oled game and hoping they knock LG down to more reasonable pricing.

So now you know what to shoot for If you know how to work a deal.

(And if anyone thinks this isn't legit, take a close look at my pseudonym. Make fun if you like - I know there will be a lot of jealousy-driven thumbs down and ad hominem attacks - I'll be chuckling as I enjoy my tv.

I'm also not the only one who has enjoyed this pricing).
This guy trolls all the OLED threads constantly touting the great deals he got. Always the same thing with "if you don't believe me look at my user name would I lie?". Never posts links to any previous so called deal, never says the actual "National Retailer" by name.

Take what he says with a grain of salt.

That being said, IMO if you can wait we will see big discounts on OLEDs in the coming months. Plenty of competitors now, chip shortage is over, 4k market is saturated, and recession. I am betting new 55" for $1000 or less, and 65" easily obtained at $1300-$1400. Even the 77" should see some good deals, maybe my buy point of $2000.

I am talking easily accessible, widely available to all, not ymmv stuff.

Same here. When you click the link for the 3rd party warranty you just get a pop up with an 800 phone number, no details about the warranty. The price is really good but if I'm spending $1600 on a tv I want a manufacturer's warranty from the start.
Woot makes their money on selling refurbs, and returns. They sometimes have new products at end of model sales to make room for new sets. But if you cannot obtain a manufacturers warranty, there is s reason for that. If LG refurbished or repackage a return, they would honor their warranty. If a third party does it, you would need a third party warranty. My advice in buying a refurbished or returned tv would be to get it from Best Buy off the floor at a nice discount. Those are easily returnable, and have the mfg warranty.

Is he referring to verde foot or purchase shovel?

I believe over the years folks have deduced he is referring to video only, but he never says...

The CX model was replaced by the C1, and the C1 replaced by the C2. Why are you buying a 3 year old model OLED?

Samsung does not support Dolby ecosystem. I've found Dolby is pretty calibrated and closer to the sources.
And that is exactly why I will never buy the Samsung OLED no matter how cheap it is. No Dolby Vision is an easy pass for me.

And do you think this TV at this size will go down for BF?
Buydig is reliable. As for the black Friday question, who knows. This is LGs flagship oled, so I wouldn't expect any doorbusters on it. Best case imo you might save $100 on waiting. Is that worth 2 months and no guarantee?

Not really apples to apples. LGs G1/G2 is closer to the frame, but still not trying to be as "pretty". But as several have mentioned, Samsung doesn't support Dolby, which is a big deal. I have a lot of Samsung stuff, but I wouldn't buy a nice TV from them for that reason alone.

This blows the frame away, no doubt. the LG g2, Sammy's S95b, Sony a95k, are the only 65" on this level. I just put up LG C2 ($1799) and it's amazing. Also your usage/needs would help us to guide you a bit. Room lighting, preferences of content, upscaling lesser source, etc... are all considerations. Though woot, is a bit worrisome.
