No. The insulation is not rated for household voltage. The wire size determines the max amperage rating, but the insulation material and thickness determines the maximum voltage you can safely use.

It's not only a fire hazard, it could kill you. The risk isn't worth saving 30 bucks.

I got this roll when it was $20ish. A week ago. I can say that the quality is legit. Not some cheap copper later Alu wires. 100% copper with solid insulation

If you forgo the ground wire then yea. But I would strongly not recommend doing that. Extension cords tend to have a lot more protection and sheathing than this wire will & the sheathing probably isn't outdoor rated exactly. Plus this isn't tinned copper so it will corrode more over time unless you seal up the plugs really well.

So possible, yes. Recommended, definitely no. Sounds like a fire hazard.

got it just now at 11:43am EST. Plus $1 digital credit for the "slow" shipping option. 3 C's show as you say that the price hovers in the $40 range when it's a deal. "At list 20 spools available at the time of posting..." not at list, at promotional price. Or at least?

This pure copper wiring is fine for low-durability audio applications in dry indoor locations but for the trailer/automotive applications that it's also advertised for you really want tinned copper for improved corrosion resistance. Tinned copper is also easier to solder if that's how you roll.

This is buy now, think of a use later. Had to fix a garage door opener the months ago and this is almost the same price as the cheapest wire I could find for the sensor runs. Granted, I wouldn't use this wire for my example, but this is good all around stuff. Probably can handle most low wattage situations too being 12 Guage

I got it last time (10 and 12 gauge). Ordered more, this stuff rocks. I realized when I replaced my old shitty 18 gauge speaker wire that it had corroded in places, making this one of the rare times I actually hear a huge difference in sound - especially at higher volumes.
