I have one for the office and love it. I'm an IT Architect and it works very well for me. I'm in tech docs, visio diagrams, spreadsheets, architecture views and models, view code sometimes, and general office apps all day. I use a 2nd 1080p monitor for screen sharing on conference calls. Text sharpness and screen brightness in a well lit office space with both natural and fluorescent lighting is fine.

I tried an LG48CX prior and did not like having to tilt my head back to view content on the top half of the screen. Caused me neck pain. I much prefer to look side to side with an ultra wide curved screen.

At home I use a Dell U3818dw. Since I don't code I don't benefit from 1600p as much and actually prefer the 49" ultrawide. Image and text quality in the Dell is probably better but I can't tell without doing an A/B side by side comparison.

On the 49" I use Microsoft PowerToys to create 3 equal side by side zones for docking my windows which works awesome.

I do miss the KVM and USB-C on my Dell though.

First one is pretty basic and the second goes deeper into technical aspects with more of a gaming slant. Third has input from someone using it for media editing in a recording studio.

Doesn't this have a KVM? Isn't that what the two inputs and two outputs for USB are?

Shows 688.49 here, but still a great discount.

Is there any difference between this model LC49RG90SSNXZA and Costco's LC49RG92SSNXZA?

Go to discount program, select education discounts and then shop now. It will say $849 but when you add it to cart $663.

I use this primarily for work as a web developer and some gaming on the side. Went from having two 27" monitors to this and it has been an absolute game changer for productivity. I'll usually have a web browser and vscode in split screen. But I'll take up most of the screen's real estate with vscode and have a a smaller portion of it for the web browser. Coding has been awesome with it for sure. Viewing angles are completely fine and never feel like my neck is strained from having to move it. The only complain I have is that I had a really nice 27" monitor (it was a 1440p 165hz IPS panel) and this monitor doesn't pop in colors as well as my old one did. I'm not saying it looks bad, because it doesn't but colors were nicer on my older monitor for sure.

It used to be a bad thing but monitor quality has improved. I think VA panels have better black levels and contrast (combined with qled here) and then IPS has better viewing angles. With a curved monitor it is less important

I have a dell IPS panel and it helps since I get lazy and tend to look off to the side and slouch a lot. The black levels are horrendous though on my IPS

I use it for the 2nd 2 reasons, has been great for me, other than the fact that I think my model has a defect where it'll disconnect every now and again.... Could be due to my gpu tho, haven't had it happen yet since I disconnected my 3rd monitor from the HDMI (knock on wood)
