Looks like the same old metal hinges into thin plastic earcup shell that previous Arctis models (including Arctis Pro's) used. Expect them to break within a year if worn regularly.

My son has a similar pair of Turtlebeach, and those lasted about 1 month. He's rough on the headphone jack end where it plugs in and ultimately they stop working.

I went ahead and got these Arctis Prime for his birthday, as they have a detachable 3.5mm cord. And the 3-year add-on Asurion warranty is only $5. Pretty much guaranteed to need that ha.
