I had a great experience with this generator. I purchased it two years ago during the Slickdeals for $650. I finally put it to use during Hurricane Ian. I used an inlet box to connect it to my service panel and ran my house for two days straight. It ran a 3 1/2 ton central air unit, (2) refrigerators, hot water heater, and all lights, I was even able to use the microwave. A full tank lasted about 12 hours. I couldn't be happier with this generator, especially for what I paid.

I'm wonder if guys blowing engines did the break-in and changed the oil after 25hours use , as recommended. I used full synthetic and changed the oil after 24 hours and again before putting it away.

Huge disappointment. From my experience, stay away from Pulsar. I had one I bought from HomeDepot and second time I ran it (first being a test) the engine blew apart. Pulsar has been sending me a replacement engine (or so they keep telling me) for the past three months … ohh and I am expected to replace the engine myself no instructions will be provided.

Nope. There's a metal plate on the panel that prevents the main power and generator breaker from being on the same time to prevent backfeeding

Nice deal I guess they aren't expecting much else in the way of hurricanes to justify hoarding the inventory at this point

Yeah, basically. The 13k went on sale for 999 I think, but that's about the ceiling.

I bought this last deal. I had an electrician add a 50 amp breaker in my main panel. This generator is big enough to run most of the breakers in your house. Better than the 10 breaker generator transfer switch

I bought the same generator and converted it to natural gas directly from my house gas line. If you know what you are doing, check this out.

Have one of these and inverters. Picked them both up for my new place a couple years ago, more prone to power outages and wanted a hurricane shtf plan, didn't have time to think then so got both. Never used this one outside of initial run break in test.

just ran my wen 3800 for 3 days for ian, maybe ..maybe used 4 gallons if that running 5-8 hours a day, thing sipped fuel especially considering most of the time they are under light load so they idle down vs these non inverter type. With 25 gallons stored in nato cans and 3 LP tanks , and that 5-8 hours was not remotely needed i could go good long shtf time. Easy to load up to bug out location too. Ran deep freeze, 2 fridges, fans, lights, air fryers coffee makers, tv's, etc. I didn't worry 1 second about going 2 weeks with no power if it went that direction before the storm, i figured i had 11 days stored but real world i could stretch that out easily much longer.

This one ...loud as heck and would burn twice that in 8 hours....never used it.

Now have 2 inverters can parallel but really not needed. house is on LP so that makes my life much easier...no big electric loads. If youre on an all electric house you're screwed get big gen !@!@ + big fuel storage (whole home) or blow big bucks on batteries and crap.
