Can't say enough how fun this makes use of any hoverboard.

This is a lot of fun especially if you have a fast hoverboard. A 15 mph one for about $100 (yes, they were this cheap in the past) combined with this $50 attachment makes for an extremely cheap, fun electric go-kart!

EDIT: Make that 12 mph, not 15.

Reps for OP and thumbs up! Smilie
A lot of fun for children or small adults. Judging by reviews, elementary school children

My son got this and refused to use it because it scraped the finish off his hoverboard.
Good to note for those who may want to keep theirs looking new. You can often help prevent that on things like this by adding a protective layer just below the straps. Something like an old bike inner tube sliced to just wider than the straps may do it (or even run the strap trough a section of inner tube). Bike shops will usually give you an old / bad tube if you ask. Or possibly a strip of that white packing film that comes as wrapping in some shipped items. (It's white and basically just a slightly spongy plastic wrap.). Either of those would likely stay firmly in place against the Hoverboard side and keep most of the friction from the strap from wearing the finish. Also, the tighter the better when it comes to strapping things like this in place. Any wiggle room at all will allow more motion and friction as it moves.

Hoverboards aren't selling so they think transforming them to these will driver sales.

Not really. Nope.

My sons always have fun with this. It's just a different kind of fun when you're low to the ground going as fast as the Hoover board lets you. And when we go somewhere that's a hassle to transport the buggy, they still have fun with the board by itself.

I just received mine, purchased from Woot (aka Amazon). My three girls absolutely love it! We're using it on an H1 Hoverboard with 6.5" wheels and max speed of 11 mph in expert mode. The cart is built pretty well. You have to get the locks pretty tight so the kids don't push the foot rest too hard, but it's totally worth it to get this and an affordable hover board for around $99 to have a sub $150 go cart. We use it to up and down hills without any issues.

That's exactly what it is. I remember trying to return a like new hover one & store had special policy to not return them; learning curve was common buyers remorse at time. Now for a bit more, people can dust off the cobwebs, hackney this contraption & not fear broken hip, otherwise why wouldn't one just buy electric scooter/bike.

True … most people probably wouldn't buy a hoverboard just for this, but it's a fun new way to putz around for those who already have one. If you live near a college campus, you'll usually see kids on hoverboards going back and forth to campus a lot. Those are a similar use case to a skateboard or bike but no effort required, so good in hotter climates so you're not sweating when you get somewhere. I doubt most would use the trike attachment all the time, but mostly for goofing around and having fun with it now and then.

The hoverboard market appears to be still growing, so manufacturers will likely try to capitalize on the trend as much as they can …

Reviews are pretty rough. Seems like a little one might get $45 of fun out of it, but I'd bet a teenager or adult would destroy it quickly.
Don't know why the reviews are rough. I had it for a year now, no issues. My 6 year old used it, my 10 year old used it, and I used it. It's a lot of fun.

Anything is going to get a few bad ones here and there. But it has nearly 10,000 reviews and 87% of those give it either 4 or 5 stars, so it seems like the vast majority would agree with your assessment.

If you're a normal sized adult, you'll have a hard time fitting into the plastic shells they sell these with now. Several years ago, we got these
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1
and my wife and I used them on our Swag-tron T6s. The shocks help a lot, depending, of course, on the road surface.
Sadly, we haven't been able to find this type of seat for several years.
