I brought one recently and it is a fantastic TV for the price. Anyone complaining is expecting way too much.

I mean realistically, my mom wouldn't necessarily appreciate something bigger or better than this. She has a decent 55 in her living room and let on her bf was thinking of upgrading it to a 65. I'm not even sure it would fit the space.

On the other hand, at her lake house, she has an ancient 720p flatscreen in the little living room and like a 24-32 inch equally ancient tv in the bedroom there. They watch a lot of tv in bed at night.

Something like this would be a good upgrade for either of those spots. Neither space needs anything more than that to be an upgrade or useful.

My mom is getting to an age where she just doesn't see the value in wanting the latest and greatest tech in every spot they might use it. Understanding someone else's view of diminishing returns is part of being a healthy adult.

She also loved the airpod pros I got her and still has my year old (at the time) iPhone XR.

It's ok to value different things, but sarcastic comments about a cheap tv and how it relates to how much we love our mothers isn't really a great way of showing that you respect others peoples ability to find happiness in more simple things than you value yourself.

I snagged one earlier in the week and am very happy with it. I'm using it as a monitor for my laptop. Works well for that, Watching the news and netflix is fine on it also. Remote is small but simple enough to figure out. Screen is very bright (set to 100 out the box, I had to tone it down some).
