For those of you who care support is only offered from the region the drive was manufactured for so if you need to send it back you will be sending it to England at your expense (basically there is functionally no warranty that being said I've not had a Western digital drive *die* before it had to be replaced in the last decade 🤷) also the deal is still going at the time of this comment
Edit: phone ate the word die
Edit 2: warranty info from western digital to save you going to my second post https://support-en.wd.com/app/Warranty_Policy "no warranty service is provided unless the Product is returned to an authorized return center in the region (warranty regions are identified as Canada, U.S.A., Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, India and Thailand) where the Product was first shipped by WD, which may have regional specific warranty implications."
You can return it but at your cost. If it arrives DOA or defective you still have to pay return cost up front and no option for prepaid label. Then have to request return shipping cost later. No thanks
I cancelled my order. No warranty, no US power plug, no hassle free returns if there's an issue. Try my luck for another later deal
Oops didn't know I would need a Power adapter, anyone have a link or do I just use a converter? Regarding shucking, why do that is it because its faster? If I do that, i have a laptop so was planning to put it into one of those HD docks, would I see any speed decrease or downsides? Thanks I know you guys know way more.

If I needed to return it, does it go to England too at my expense?

Sorry, didn't think I was being vague. Here's the link for the official line https://support-en.wd.com/app/Warranty_Policy see: "No warranty service is provided unless the Product is returned to an authorized return center in the region (warranty regions are identified as Canada, U.S.A., Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, India and Thailand) where the Product was first shipped by WD, which may have regional specific warranty implications."

Lol I like this 1 star review on amazon "My 18T hard disks are not bread! Using a paper bag to send them is not acceptable! I'm scanning them for bad sectors and will return them if find any!"
Then it shows a picture of the paper bag lol
The rest complaining that you can't return or you have to pay for returns.
And a couple idiots saying they got a 16.3tb instead of 18tb
Yeaaa, gonna have to pass. Should be $250 around bf/cm.. At least I'm hoping
