As they should. I think I read somewhere these water filters have like $1 worth of materials in them. They sell at retail $40-$50. They're in the same class as inkjet cartridges.

Need XWFE. Any recommendations? I'm tired of paying $50 a filter to GE
I contacted GE and they sent me a free filter bypass plug. I cut the RFID tag out of the bypass plug with some power tools and taped it to the back of the fridge. Now, I order XWFE/XWF equivalent water filters from Water Drop for cheap. The NSF standards do not exactly match, though.
Is there any real world benefit to the Premium vs the Advanced? I see the extra filtering specification for NSF 401 but is this just marketing or is there a practical need to have the more premium level of filtering?
needing the ge mwf. only the advanced one is on sale. the weird thing is that the premium version has a lower regular price ($20.42) than the advanced version ($24.29)! i have tried many other generic brands, but all tasted nasty. hopefully this amazon basic one would taste great or at least closer to the ge brand one.
They don't have the EPTWFU01 I need but I do see the price dropped a lot on the genuine Fridigaire EPTWFU01 from the last time I ordered it. From $49.95 to $37.74.
I'm seeing $49.95, and $34.79 for the off brand (Smart Choice).
I do see "genuine" 3 and 4-packs from Walmart for $46 and $53, but they're third party sellers and I'm not going to trust that.
The deal on the MSWF filters for my GE fridge are fantastic! If you upgrade to the "Advanced" Basics filter, it meets NSF 53 for lead reduction. Where I live, the city is slowly going around and replacing all the water service lines made from lead pipes, but is encouraging residents to use NSF 53 filters for drinking/cooking water until the pipes are replaced. GE branded filters with NSF 53 are $39 each. I just bought 3 of the Basics filters with the same specs for $15 total!!!
Showing $18.21 before taxes in cart. Can you please share how it is $15
Thanks

Three guesses which one I need and the first two don't count!
