This looks like a pretty good deal for Office 365 Family. You get 12 month plus a $50 Amazon GC for $92.95 which comes to $42.95 after GC for 1 year of Office 365 Family. Seems like a pretty good deal to me.

I'm assuming you can add the 12 months to your account if you already have Office 365 Family as you can with most other Office 365 deals.

Update: getting this seems to move your Office subscription to Amazon which, from my reading, is not recommended. If you already have Office 365 tied to your Amazon, this may be a good deal but if not, it seems like we should stay away.deal to me

If Amazon wasn't apparently stuck in the middle of my business with Microsoft, I'd be going for this. Guess I'll look at Costco or HUP if I decide to go this route.

I know you can't stack non-Amazon sub on this but if I see a good deal can I buy before this expires and then apply the code once this expires?

so this isn't just a digital subscription code?

I am already currently subscribed through next July (via Microsoft directly) and was hoping I could order this deal and enter the code closer to renewal time.

just bought and "activated" it. Now to just wait to see and make sure when (and how long) it takes Amazon to show the current one being extended instead of 2 separate entries.

I did the same and tried to activate, now the new entry shows an "Activate Subscription" link instead of an "Access Product" link in my existing subscription, I can also see a license key with "Invited" status, but when I clicked the activation link, right after I confirmed my Microsoft account, it displayed an error message "This product key has already been used. Install from your Microsoft account". Checked my Microsoft account, it does show an order history with code redeemed today, but that did not extend my existing subscription by one year.

Contacted Amazon.com support, was asked to contact Microsoft, entered into Microsoft Support online, got: Your current position in line is: 3831 !

There's a post on the front page that a person has done this a few time and it just takes amazon a little bit to merge the two. I'm going to give it a bit before I freak out and start making calls.

This is a very good deal that happens couple times a year. Amazon gift card is cash anyways these days. However, don't stack it in the off chance that holiday sales will bring an even better one.

Years back I started with stacked O365 individual licenses and converted to family using codes purchase online. Then I added a year or two using similar Amazon deals, canceled amazon sub/disassociated from Amazon, added the NewEgg deal, and then purchased this deal again through Amazon.

Amazon doesn't own the account nor do they have access to your data... they are just the partner that sold the activation code and earned the commission and future commission on next auto-renew. You will end up with the subscription partner shifted to Amazon after activation with auto-renew enabled... but you can and probably should turn this off.

I'm due for renewal in early 2024 and will add another year via this deal. I would add two or three at this price but it appears limited to one purchase per account and I don't feel like dealing with the hassle of purchasing and activating another via a family members amazon account.

You can check your existing O365/M365 sub expiration by logging into your Microsoft account > https://account.microsoft.com/ > Services & Subscriptions (up top) > Microsoft 365 Family / Home / Individual / etc section. Once the amazon purchased sub is active, you will get a "Manage" hyperlink on this page that will push you back to your Amazon account's "Your Membersips & Subscriptions" page. This is where you can cancel the sub (auto renew) with Amazon but retain the year of service with Microsoft. Personally I wait a few days after activation before canceling... until after the GC is in hand and loaded to my Amazon account.

Regardless of how much time you actually have left on your M365 subscription, the autorenew date at Amazon will show up exactly one year after activation of the subscription purchased with this deal. Also the future expiration info will disappear (for now) on your Microsoft account. However when you cancel the subscription, the one year of credit plus what ever you had left on any existing sub will show up on your Microsoft account after a day or two.... at least that has been my experience after when taking advantage of similar deals in years past. Also it's common to get an error during the initial activation process. However, if you try to run through activation a second time it will say the code has already been used. Also if you check / refresh your MS account subs page it will shift to showing Amazon as the Sub partner / manager.... so that's two ways to verify the activation code was accepted.
