I have suspected this of happening, I check out the deals but only purchasse if its on google play using my credit. For me, its better to just get 1 of my physical discs and transfer it to my pc if I dont want to play it off disc, this way I always have it. Sad if this is true, warner brothers removing purchased content, physical disc is the way to go and sometimes the value of the disc increases and you can sell it for alot.
I'm torn on 4K and would like others thoughts. I have FiOS and a high level at that, but I assume that they compress 4K movies when streaming so are we really getting the "true" 4K experience than I would be via 4K disc in a PS5, for example? I believe disc trumps digital, no?

WB wrote off the show for tax purposes so they aren't allowed to sell it in any form or air it anywhere ever again.
Studios aren't going to write off many of their properties for tax purposes. The article mentioned they also wrote off the movie Batgirl but it had never been released.
