Internally this has a Micron QLC flash chip which seems to use SLC caching to achieve the advertised write speeds. One reviewer on the Amazon page states that for the 1 TB model it performs as advertised as long as the transfer is < 200 GB, at which point the cache is exhausted and speeds drop.
