I gift these all the time. Haven't bought once since the price increase. I reached out to Aeropress and this isn't a temporary "supply chain" price increase. It's the new price moving forward. In for a few for Xmas gifts.

Thanks for posting. Looks like all the Aeropress coffee makers are on sale.

Here's one that's $2 cheaper ($30), and includes a travel bag:

The AeroPress Go Portable Travel Coffee Press is on sale for $32. It's slightly smaller than the original -- 8oz Go vs 10oz Original, and about 2 - 3 cm shorter. Comes with a travel mug that press and accessories will fit into for travel:

I'm going to try the Go model for traveling. Lots of great videos on Youtube about the Aeropress, some great ideas to tweak recipes. Should be interesting......

These are great. I usually French Press at home and take this traveling. But it's nice for making iced coffee and experimenting with new beans. Amazing how you can amplify some flavors within coffee with this.

Any good deals on metal filters? That's one accessory I haven't grabbed yet.

Got mine at TJ Maxx for $16 in the clearance section a few years back, YMMV but you could find some decent deals in that messy aisle in the back

I use this occasionally. I have not been able to tell any difference vs using a standard kcup machine. Marketing and viral psychological effects influencing our taste opinion?
You're doing something wrong then search YouTube for AeroPress Championship Recipe and get ready to have your mind blown.

The biggest difference would be using newly roasted fresh ground coffee beans. It's also pretty importantant to get the amount of cofee and extraction time suited to your taste. If you can't tell the difference then it is not worth it.

I love these recipes, but they mosstly use 40g of coffee with short extraction times for a single cup to avoid over extraction. Nice occasionally, but a bit wasteful everyday. Worth experimenting with 16 to 18g per cup to find the best extraction time for your taste.
