Nfs 2015 4.99 is prob the best one if you are looking into story and get a sence of night/dawn street races. Has live action scenes and the characters have a personality to them. Hot pursuit is good too but doesnt have a great story

Heat is the best. It has a good story that isn't too long (and not nearly as cringy as 2015 NFS), a nice open world with plenty to do and fast travel options. The day/night adds some technical aspects, it's not just about daylight and dark. Lots of visual tuning for the cars and things like tire type and suspension make a big difference in handling (but don't expect Forza, this is still an arcade game). The cops are fun to beat but not super easy.

The hot pursuit remaster is also good but definitely doesn't hold up to modern racing game expectations. It's still fun but you'll feel like you're missing a lot compared to Heat.

I have always hated how hard it is to find a game you already purchased. I know if have NFS and it tells me I already purchased it, but when I click that it takes you to a 25 page list to scroll through and no where to be found, why cant they have a search that works.

I literally couldn't play this game because of how cringey the live action scenes are. I would've been awestruck if I played this game when I was 13, but as an adult I wanted to skip all of them.
Heat is pretty good. Hot pursuit is a good throwback with a great soundtrack, but not really open world
