I've had 3 different sets of powerblocks. None have smelled at all. The Elite USA set I own is relatively new. There is no odor.

I don't live in a city, but most on marketplaces around me and listed for more money then this new one is.

IKR. Nobody on marketplace ever prices things reasonably (but those same people will low-ball everybody else).

Even of cheaper on marketplace I'd buy these here, just to not have to deal with some moron on there.

I bought these and both expansions up to 90lbs. Excellent for the home gym. I wish they still made the expansions above 90lbs but I think those are discontinued

Got the EXPs 2 weeks ago, for the most part I can do most of my exercises easily. Little awkward on a few but otherwise very secure and solid. Being a block makes you kind of second guess it, they are legit.

You shouldn't drop any of these interchangeable weight equipment. They aren't built like hex bells and dropping them can easily break them wether you get the bowflex, powerblock, or noubell.

I understand. I had powerblocks before and had no issues with them. I just don't like the things I hear about nuobell breaking easily. I will probably get nuobell since it rare to find them on a decent discount. These power locks on the other hand go on sale every month on woot.

Can we take that one step further and say that you shouldn't drop ANY weights. Even the best non-adjustable ones bend or loosen over time. I hate when I pick up a pair of dumbbells 80-120lbs at the gym and they are loose or bent.

Lifting weights / weight training is controlling weights, not dropping them. Yes, that includes going heavy. Rack to knees to chest then reverse chest to lap/knees to rack.

Yeah, reality is slowly setting in. This is a good price post craziness it's even a good price compared to powerblockl retail robbery. However reality is already setting in for some of those secondary sellers and I've seen a few reasonably priced. I'm thinking in the next year I'll find a pro set for this price or likely less used.
