No problem being CAT7, gauge does not factor into the rating. Signal supported, frequencies and speeds supported, up to a certain length for that support, twisted pairing and shielding are what make the rating.

Cat 7 isn't a recognized standard - at least home / commercial use. Cat 7 sellers are preying on folks seeing a bigger number - 7.

IIRC - Cat 7 is suppose to have grounded plugs for use in datacenters.

Got one of each (50 + 30 foot) for the parts shelf at this price. and probably should double that.. IDk.. I have to start thinking of upgrading the whole house back bone to cat7..

This is clearly not CAT7 rated at 27AWG where decent CAT6 is 23AWG

Not true, it is an ISO standard, it just isnt a TIA standard due to the fact that Cat 6 was updated to provide the same capability.

Bottom line, this is a cheap cable that will work in anything in your network. It may be a hair stiffer and thicker than cable that you are used to due to the additional internal shielding, but you may not notice.
