I have these and this is a steal. My only complaint is I wish I'd bought them sooner.

Bought these almost 4 years and paid more than twice this price. They have performed really well with no issues or complaints. Installed myself with no complications. These are used frequently with 3 birds returning to the nest weekly to avoid laundromats in addition to the 3-5 loads per week for us. The pedestals adds storage and saves you from having to bend really low but the some will not be able to justify the extra cost. I can and appreciate the utility they add.
Washer and dryer presets are smart and they work well but I like to select timed drying (old school) on a low heat setting to avoid damage or shrinking.
Not sure if these are wifi but that function is good to push a notification to my phone that the washer or dryer is finished.
Really easy to clean performing a tub wash monthly and draining that little hose into a basin. Google make at home solutions if you don't wish to purchase premade washer cleaners.
Leave that washer door open to dry out to avoid musty smells! I did this for 30 years even with top loaders. It's not up for debate, its just how science works, folks.
Solid deal OP.

edit: wanted to add, my units cannot be remotely controlled via app but not being able to view status and be alerted when load is complete is well worth setting up the app, in my opinion. Especially for those living on multi-floor homes.
Thanks for this feedback, helped persuade me to pull the trigger on the purchase after reading a bunch of bad reviews of leaks. Most of these reviews are on the older side so hoping perhaps a fix or something was replaced or these guys got a defective model.

Edit: already got shipment notification ordered an hour ago the electric model.

Seems like a good deal? Any personal experience with these models?
I bought these a couple years ago and I thought I was getting a deal at 1000 a piece. Love these units. You can even enable updates to your phone/Apple Watch when cycles are finished. Highly recommend.

I have the 8000 series for a 3 yrs now. Stackable version with same size cu. ft. in both washer and dryer. Love them. I have no complaints. Clean the lid and filter after washing and all is well.

Pulled the trigger. Does anyone know what the right size pedestal is for these models?
From several sites, the WDP5V pedestal is the one that fits this washer/dryer. There is also an optional "sidekick" mini washer available that fits in place of the pedestal under the washer side.

I couldn't find any place that actually had the pedestals in stock, but was finally able to order directly from lg.com (see my previous post) BUT I had to send these to my parents house (OR) as they were unavailable to ship to my house (WA).

There is some question about the color matching, but it looks like this washer/dryer set is technically called graphite steel (based on the info for this washer on bestbuy and others) so I'm reasonably certain this matches the pedestal on lg.com noting this same graphite steel color. I also don't think it would make sense for them to offer the matching pedestal model in a similar, but slightly different, silver color.

Anyone know if these are stackable? Our old LG's has a kit you could purchase to make them stackable. Thanks in advance.
