As mentioned below, if you are trading in for pixel 7 at Bestbuy for $490 current deal with $100 gift card, there is always a risk if you ordered online and put it as Verizon phone because some bb associate is very inflexible and state that your trade in iPhone is Straight Talk and not Verizon. Ymmv.
You can activate the phone to get your number for port in to metro for another iPhone or any of the android phones deals at metro corporate store. Remember when you activated the iPhone through Straight Talk, after creating account, you need to generate a transfer pin in the website (need verification with the iphone through text) and it is valid for seven days to port out your number.
This deal had been posted but got lots of thumb down but I still feel it is an ok deal especially when you need an iPhone to trade in for the newer phones.

More importantly, the iPhone models for these are not in the trade-in list at bestbuy. I am sure many will go thru but I got rejected straight out at a store just a week ago saying this is not a verizon model as I claimed. Why put so many buyers at risk promoting the trade-in. It would be a painful process if you buy it for a trade-in and then it's not accepted. two phones to return, restocking etc. Point is, you should let the folks in need do the due diligence for their needs. my $.02
