I also chatted with Dell's rep to see if I could change payment method and was told it was not possible. But I asked them if I could return the item and if that would incur restocking fee or shipping fee. And they said this:
"(10/17/2022, 10:51:24 AM): However, you have an option to return/reorder.
(10/17/2022, 10:51:47 AM): Will I be charged restocking fee if I return?
(10/17/2022, 10:52:46 AM): No, as the order is still within return policy of Dell, you would not be charged any return/shipping fee "
So they initiated a return/ or recall of the shipment for me. If they can recall the shipment then I think I won't need to do anything else. Otherwise, I also got an email from Dell for a return label if in case it arrives anyway.
The mouse is in stock now, and even though there's no gift card anymore, I went ahead and placed the order. This time I immediately got the email from Amex that I had used the offer.
Now the Amex deal should be going though without issue,
I had a $50 off and 10% off Amex so combined with $20 GC, it should be $28ish after tax
