Safety systems are lifelines, I would not trust my safety or that of family or friends to suction cups. If this is a NEED you should go with something permanent.

Occupational therapist here…these are a hard no with my patients. They work great until they don't. If this let's go while someone with generalized weakness if pulling up on it, it could make for a nasty fall and injury. If you or someone you love is a fall risk, there are better solutions for most ADLs. Install a permanent grab bar and keep yourself/your people safe.

My dad uses these. They aren't really to pull yourself up...but more to have something to hold onto because of balance and stability issues

Attaching these to my headboard was better for traction than wearing sneakers.

With elderly parents this doesn't seem like a bad backup kind of them for them to have in the bathrooms.

It's like no one ever complained that parachute didn't open.
If the surface is not clean, porous, or not strong, it would be safe and won't do even 100lbs

Got a pair of these a few months ago . These work great for a couple weeks and now I find they loose grip each time I use them.
