I checked out the deals on the Google store, but Best Buy had better promotions.

I have the Pixel 6 Pro still receiving trade in credits from Verizon for another year but I had an iPhone 12 Pro Max available for trade in. Best Buy had such a great deal I couldn't pass it up. I will likely never do trade ins for credits through the carrier again if I can find deals like this.

My deal through Best Buy for the Pixel 7 Pro:
$899.00 (full price)
+ $8.18 (tax)
- $490.00 (trade-in for iPhone 12 Pro Max)
- $300.00 (Additional trade-in promotion)
- $200.00 (Best Buy Gift Card)

I essentially walked away with the phone full paid for and an additional $82.82 in my pocket

$950 for the s22u with 512gb. Has been sitting in my cart and I am wondering if I should pull the trigger. The camera review from dxomark puts this at the top of the food chain.
Same here. I want to pull the trigger but haven't yet. Unlike Samsung, Google charges the full price upfront and refund the trade-in value after you send in the phone.

In general (yeah a few exceptions) the best deal here ended when the google store credit was removed..........and I can't help but feel better deals than this (especially maybe a combo with Google Watch) are on the horizon with BF/ holidays.

For Pixel, the best deals have always been around launch (just look at the 6a deal...$300 trade-in for a $40 3a PLUS pixel buds?!)

The stars really aligned with the 7, being so close to the 6a launch

Some people like to get new phones when they come out it's kind of a hobby and the dick measuring isn't something we really partake in

Sure, but the statement is still true. It's a worse lower value phone. His choice, but still true
Or, you know, people aren't enjoying their experience with their current devices and want to replace them. This just happens to be the best way to do that at the moment.

Is it really that hard to understand that people could just not be happy with something, no matter how much you may personally like it? You've probably accepted people preferring iPhone or Android to one another, but somehow can't accept someone preferring a Pixel over an S22U?

This could mark a major migration of customers over from Samsung to Pixel.

No strings attached, free upgrade for any carrier as long as you have a qualifying Samsung device.

Tossing in my S22 for the Pixel 7. Here we go!
You provided zero value here, sorry. Samsungs are sold unlocked and have better specs for s22u just about everything vs 7 pro. Please share details once you have it what did you find better except for call screening which is great IMHO but not worth the trade.

You just downgraded your phone 😄
I have almost a month to test it out, worst case I return it. I've had nothing but Samsungs for close to 10 yrs, wouldn't mind changing it up.

There are a lot of technical people in these forums and we need solid evidence why, not just "I wanted a new shiny toy"... Once we have real world experience and evidence from the ones traded in their phones, then many will be able to make an informed decision. I dislike s22u for a number of reasons but don't want to switch to Google just because it's Google. There's absolutely nothing superior about the phone

The S22U is what I WANTED, but I settled for the Pixels, lol.

Honestly, I wouldnt trade your phone in; main reason is that your phone is worth quite a bit of REAL $ on the secondhand market right now, while the Google Store is best for, for no other way of putting it, *laundering* additional credit out of relatively worthless phones towards relatively decent phones.

Its $600 for the new 128GB S22U at Fi store after jumping throug hoops", $700+ for the 512 version on ebay in unknown condition)

I know time is indeed $, but youre probably better off trading in something with a high value/cost ratio, like the $100 iPhone XR ->$415 credit, and then selling your phone (in good condition?) on secondhand market. That phone is getting you a 3/1 return ($300 out for $100 in), but your phone is barely a 1.25/1 return ($950 for $700+ in...maybe even worse considering what you paid yourself for it)
I actually purchases a used excellent condition s22 ultra 128gb xfinity locked off ebay for $550 yesterday. I have an unlocked s22 128g but it's brand new in box and a s22 256gb but that will go to my wife and looking at trade ins versus what you can buy phones for, that seems to be one of the better "savings", don't see $100 xrs at the moment.

Would love to do this or the Best Buy deal.

I got my Pixel 6 for $299 from T-Mobile with 24 months of EIP bill credits. I have 13 bill credits of $12.70 or so left on it. I called to see if I can just pay the balance to free up the phone to trade it for one of these deals. Unfortunately, I would lose the credits and owe the full balance, nullifying the benefits of these deals.

If anyone knows of a way to do this without having to pay the balance off at the full rate of $25 per month x 13, I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks!

Lol - you've got to be kidding. You need "solid evidence"? The audacity of demanding people justify to you why they don't want to keep one phone and want to get another is just nuts.

I commented above and previously about why, and there were people expressing they felt the same about theirs. I've also had a Pixel 1, Pixel 2, and Pixel 4a. Wife had a 3a, 4a, and currently has the 6a. I know how the cameras are on these phones (my main complaint about the S22) and, unless you think the camera on the 7/7 Pro is an utterly different experience than that then that is enough of a reason for me.
