Since this is asked so much:
Pixel 6a is not available for trade in because it's new and Google still sells them.

I could od an upgrade with T-mobile to 7 pro for only $100 using my 6a which I just got for $165.
So $265 for a pixel 7 Pro is good, but I really do not want to 2 year monthly credit.
I have the Pixel 6 Pro still receiving trade in credits from Verizon for another year but I had an iPhone 12 Pro Max available for trade in. Best Buy had such a great deal I couldn't pass it up. I will likely never do trade ins for credits through the carrier again if I can find deals like this.
My deal through Best Buy for the Pixel 7 Pro:
$899.00 (full price)
+ $8.18 (tax)
- $490.00 (trade-in for iPhone 12 Pro Max)
- $300.00 (Additional trade-in promotion)
- $200.00 (Best Buy Gift Card)
I essentially walked away with the phone full paid for and an additional $82.82 in my pocket
The modem problems with the first Tensor chip are bad. For me this has resulted in dropped calls, calls not coming through (like using apps on my phone and then getting a new vm notification without it ringing), and internet speeds crashing. My wife has one of the new mini iPhones and we'll both be trying to figure something out or look something up and her speeds are great while mine are hit or miss, watching the phone drop back and forth between 5G and LTE.
This article talks about the modem upgrade tech, and for that alone this makes it worth it. https://www.phonearena.
So Im happy. I genuinely think that google is offering such high incentives on trade in because of these modem chip issues.
And yeah, this is much better than gift cards back. I'd be upset if I had done the previous deal because I'd just have to order again with this deal.
edit: Don't forget to combine with the Google One subscription discount. $10/mth for 2 months would get you about $90 back in store credit on the $900 7 Pro.

What a joke... They'll buy other brands for more than they'll pay for their own. What kind of backwards thinking is it to not reward loyal customers who purchased their previous model.
I got my Pixel 6 for $299 from T-Mobile with 24 months of EIP bill credits. I have 13 bill credits of $12.70 or so left on it. I called to see if I can just pay the balance to free up the phone to trade it for one of these deals. Unfortunately, I would lose the credits and owe the full balance, nullifying the benefits of these deals.
If anyone knows of a way to do this without having to pay the balance off at the full rate of $25 per month x 13, I would appreciate it very much.
Thanks!
Go into chat or something if you want to verify. Don't mention anything about trading in or whatever. Just ask if you pay off the phone in full, do credits continue if you're otherwise eligible (retain an active account, etc). Unless it's changed in the last few months, answer has always been yes.

So to clarify, if this works, I would pay the $325 (25x13) in full, freeing up the phone for trade (can it be immediately unlocked before the deals end?). The $12 and change that I am to receive over the next 13 months will roll into bill credits instead of equipment credits?
Thank you!!
