$400 for my P5 is a pretty solid deal but anything past 6" is a non-starter for me.

Why? That makes no sense at all. iPhones have better resale value regardless of who is buying it back and also it's in Google's best interest to get iPhone users to switch to Pixel by offering a great trade in.

Is there a restocking fee if you return the phone to Google store?
No, I returned the 6a I used for almost two weeks and received a full refund. You just have to make sure you return all items.

Trade-in value didn't change for my 6 Pro 512 GB version. Was $600 before, and is still $600 now. Just FYI.

Not sure if anyone pointed this out, but I just got the 7 pro with $800 trade in at T-Mobile with a pixel 4. I bought the 4 for $152 including tax on one of the sites. Had to pay full tax at T-Mobile. I know it is bill credit but I am not leaving t-mobile. Need a Max plan.
No one wants to sign up for max plan when they are grandfather in and only paying $50 a month for 9 lines unlimited everything lol

deal is worst than before b/c no gift card
It's not gift card. It's store credit. Some people would rather get card (higher trade in value) than store credit if they seldom make any purchase on Google Store.

Not sure of the P6 in specific, but if you have a phone on EIP with TMO, you can volunteer to pay off the whole tab now out of your own pocket, and they will continue to credit you monthly, but it will be at the account level vs on the line level. This way, you dont technically lose $ by the end of the term.

You can chat with T Force to confirm this, but I did this with an Iphone SE2 and a Pixel 4a5g, because I needed them to be unlocked ASAP.
Ha thanks - I was trying to recall what that program was called - EIP!
Sounds like for this particular Google deal - my phone has to be paid off & unlocked - true?

Quote from TofuVic :
starcaptor's understanding is the same as mine, and I have done it many, many times on my 10-year-old grandfathered Select Choice T-Mobile account without issues. I definitely would chat with them to confirm and save the chat log, just to be safe.

I hope this helps,
Tofu Vic
Yes I do think I can pay it off ahead of time & still get the credits monthly till the end of the the EIP term to get me to my original net true cost.

However, my true question is if I still have a financial obilogation to TMO can I trade that phone into Google? I think the answer is No but the some on the Best Buy P7 P7P deal say that BB will take phones with remaining EIP terms.

Something I don't understand because I have a Pixel 6A and I hate it. Wish I can trade it in but for some reason we cannot.
Why don't you like your 6a? I love mine.

Looks like Google is more focusing on getting users of other phones into their eco system and are not really looking at their own P6 or P6 pro users to upgrade to P7. Either this or they are tacitly accepting that their phone is not on par with other flagships looking at the current trade-in values for pixel phones on the site.
For eg: for a 256gb P6 Pro, the site shows $540 trade-in value, which is undervalued in my opinion, especially when they are giving $700+ value to equivalent flag ships from other brands

BTW, even at a $900 value, why would an iPhone 13 Pro Max user want to move over to P7 Pro?
