Curiosity question: I always hear about OLEDs not being optimal for bright rooms; is this for critical watching [like HoD at night to make sure we don't miss anything in the over dark scenes]?

I have to admit playing XSX on my LG CX is still a great experience in the daytime with the window shades wide open (and that's behind my head). I don't change any settings. Did I get lucky with a brighter than usual screen?

Debating if I should cancel my Amazon Sony A80J 77 for $1999 and get this one instead. But it's $1653 for me plus shipping so seems better to get the A80J for $350 more.
Sony has better sports motion and 120 mode for gaming

$1399 for a 77 TV!!!
We would have hit this price years ago IF OLED had any competition.
LG is the ONLY OLED panel manufacture, want to manufacture a OLED TV? You gotta talk to them.

No way BB price matched that as they are not even the same model #. Better post the receipt.
Nope. BB refuse to price match. Called twice. It's not same model #.

Where did you find Sony A80J 77 for only $1999?

This is LG's budget OLED. It's still decent, but you're not getting the full OLED experience.
What exactly am I missing with this TV vs LG's flagship OLEDs? I am upgrading from a 3 year old TCL 6 series, so this would be a huge upgrade regardless, but just curious what I am missing vs something like the C1.

I need a bright panel. Is this better than the Samsung 85" QN90A?
No apples and oranges.

Same here. $50 here in south Florida. $1500 total. Not sure if I should bite. Is A series really subpar?
