The same can be said about classic cars, HiFi audio equipment, road bikes, guns, liquors, or anything else certain communities are appreciative of. There is always a group of people that like things for a particular set of features, craftsmanship, or specific emotions they bring.
BB58 can typically be had in the used market for $2600 with papers. This is not a bad price but this watch is dropping in value each month (like most luxury goods)
On a different note everyone should watch this YouTube channel which has some of the most authentic reviews and according to him the high end divers like Seiko(!!!) and Tudor are worth the money. He also makes the point that his $100 Seiko's give him as much joy as his $10k Submariners. The BB58 is cheaper than the fancy Seiko he reviews so it's not a bad entry into high end dive watches. https://youtu.be/Ev3eEGjQVUQ
$3200 is pretentious? On a brand most people outside the Watch community have likely never heard of? Ok.
Also, you seem fun.
Tudor is a brand no one in the watch community has heard of? My grandfather and father and I collected watches and Tudor has always been known as rolex's affordable brand

Already own this and it's one of my favorites. Not a lot of love for Joma but I've never had any problems. Treat joma like buying used with the understanding that there's no after purchase support. For the price, I'm okay not having the warranty. I've never had a new watch require service. It happens but I think it's rare. Just be sure to fully inspect the watch and test the movement as soon as you get it so you can send it back during the return window if it does have a problem. Returns during the window are easy.
They do offer after purchase support. My friend sent back a watch that was not waterproof with water damage and Joma replaced it for free (probably should not have). I've bought several watches from Joma with no issue. Per their website, Tudor watches purchased from joma have a two year warranty.

Pretentious is thread crapping on items you don't understand as a way of making yourself feel superior for being cheap.
Winner.
I don't understand why there is *always* instant animosity for watch threads like this on SD, apart from the above reply about, essentially, virtue signaling.
I have the blue dial version of this watch (got it minty used on eBay for a steal), and it's incredible. I also have a new Submariner, but I never wear the Sub because of this watch. 80%+ a Rolex for a fraction of the price.
As far as this particular deal goes, I bet you can get a better deal (esp in the coming months when the recession kicks in) lightly used on eBay with papers, instead of going gray through Joma with no factory warranty. (Though I think the 58 lineup has been pretty bulletproof, so not the end of the world either, and not like you can't pony up to have Tudor do repairs if you had to.)
