It's a small ratchet, shouldn't put much force on it. U don't want to over torque a 10mm or 12mm bolt/nut anyway. This's a quality set, I got one a couple years back, still using it.

Depends on the form factor of your current set and where you keep it. I have one very similar to this in a desk drawer and for light household uses like tightening a carriage bolt on a piece of furniture it preempts me from needing to ferry tools back and forth from my workshop. So in short, likely no new capability from your existing set. But maybe some added convenience and ease of use.
