This really isn't a bad deal if you want a gaming desktop and don't need a top of the line graphics card. The GPU and CPU alone are roughly $800. This is also the updated Alienware case which purportedly has much better cooling than it's predecessor. Throw in an Amex offer and it's a pretty decent deal.

Do the $50 and $120 Amex credits stack?

Well R10 was a great heater for winter time but I think R14/15 are much better for airflow.

The one thing is that I ordered the R10 on October 2, and Dell said it would come October 10, and it got delayed, and they said it would ship October 13, but it hasnt finish production and I was told that they ran out of parts for it so its backorder now.

i suppose if you like alienware, then the case would worth 400 dollars.
otherwise, this case is 510 x 225 x 529, which is humongous. one would expect great cooling came with it.
but no, it is just regular mid tower but slanted 45 degrees with alienware plastics, the great living example of people paying form over function.

I got the R11 on a similar deal exactly 2 years ago. It hasn't been terrible, but due to case size, it's almost impossible to upgrade the GPU. The temps also run a bit high with the stock fan. I've been thinking about upgrading just to get the latest-n-greatest, but at this point, might as well wait for the 13th gen CPU's and new GPU's. DELL announced that the new Aurora is arriving in about a month.

The guy above you says this case is HUGE. I guess everything is subjective.

The case is huge (especially from the outside), but the R11/12 won't fit a viceo card taller than 5inch and more than 10inch long. Which excludes most new video cards. Not sure if the new Aurora models have this issue solved or not.

"ALIENWARE on Twitter: "@Fogboundturtle Hey there, the maximum length GPU that can fit in an Aurora R11 is 10.5", or 267mm.Aug 24, 2020"
