Retailer's are becoming overstocked, even compared to pre-Covid years. It's the best buyer's market in a long time. Speaking of Best Buy, they seem to have a ton of these in both 65" and 77". The 65 is being offered with a meager discount right now, while the 77 has none. This is often a signal they are going to be the next retailer to dump stock on this TV. I expect them to match Amazon's $2000 price tag on the 77 from last week. I wouldn't be surprised to see the 65 go for $1200. So even though this is by far the best deal right now on this model, I think better things will come to those that wait.

Woot! has most certainly devolved into the Amazon outlet store. As anyone who frequents this site knows, you can get great deals directly from Amazon on open box products. But when the quantity of open box items gets too high, it creates a situation where Amazon is competing against itself and that's the last thing they want to do. If it's penny ante light bulbs, they don't care, but when it's big ass TV's, there is a significant impact. The perfect example is the Google Pixel 4 which they obviously have way too many of. They've been on Woot! for $200 for a couple months at least. They would sell faster on Amazon but at the cost of losing sales of more expensive and profitable phones. This is a way for them to have their cake and eat it too.

Wow...a lot of speculation there

In regards to Best Buy and other retailers
Its typically the manufacturer that offers the retailers rebate deals that allow them to offer low clearance deals
Based on the lack of discounts I dont think Sony thinks they are overstocked on this model

Not being smart but you lost me. What's the problem with ordering from Woot? Serious question. Thanks in advance
