Looks like it's the fan with no plug... Based on pictures.. FYI

I just got one of these and it's pretty nice. Was impressed with how quiet it is at the low setting. Actually used it in an experiment in my office, left it running for a couple days like that with a 4AH in it. I also like that it's true variable speed, not just L-M-H.

LOL. It's just based off of my experience. I used the older model everyday on the lowest click setting. I bought this new model last week and noticed I had to put it on the 3rd or 4th click setting to be as strong as the older model's 1st click setting. Perhaps both model's strongest settings are the same, I'm not sure.

What is the largest/best battery you can use with this?
anything that will output 20v will work. . as one could make a DIY high capacity battery by connecting batteries in parallel.

The 511 is rated at "Up to 500 cfm" and the 512 is rated at "Up to 650 cfm". While I'm unable to test exact cfm's of output on my personal fans, my experience is that the difference in output is real and the 512, at least mine, pushes more air than the 511. However, I wouldn't turn down either at this price.

Meh. Ryobi one includes a battery and also has the ability to plug in. Plus cheaper. Hard Pass

I'm a big fan of this little fan. I have the older model but when I laid plank flooring in tight areas and when I went camping it came in mighty handy. I have the old style with the 110v option but it has performed admirably without the plug. I have fit a 6ah with no issues. It's worth it at this price.

"20v" in the title, usually refers to a battery operated device.
17 downvotes? I don't think you were being a dick about it. You were just being helpful. Thank you.

I can personally confirm the 9AH Flexvolt fits. Double check but I think the 12 and the 15 should fit as well because key dimensions are the same, they just adjust where the battery connection is placed.

I have the plugged version of this and it is great. Way better than the competition IME. $66 is a good price. I think mine came from Lowes price mistake with battery and charger for $75.

Thats sorta odd. Mine is a straight rotary knob no clicks.
I have the plug in version I use it in my cabin hanging from a 2x4 it keeps the heat circulating from the 15k btu propane wall furnace.
Nice in hot weather as well.
I have never used it plugged in.. only once to test it.

So lack of plug doesnt bother me and this has more cfm. Decent buy there is always dewalt tax.
