That's a weird condition. So they can just refuse and say you have to buy something for the code? Even though the pokemon company didn't stipulate that in the terms? Not that I was going anyway but they shouldn't leave it up to the stores to decide this.

I've never come across a GameStop that refused to give me one. I walk in and say hey do you guys have the Pokémon codes? They hand me the code and I leave. No hassle.

I've come across multiple Gamestops that ran out of them.

Some GS only give out 1 per customer. Some GS only get like 10 per store, and only 10 people get them. Some GS get like 500, but then give out like 30 per customer. Some GS have employees who steal all of them to sell on ebay later. Some GS don't even get any.

I hate these giveaways, they're the biggest YMMV thing ever.

They've tried to sell me a pro membership for anything free, I guess it's more common in my area.

I went to two Gamestops and are OOS. 3DS events, they just printed the receipt with codes. Why is it more complicated?

I'd love to get all 3, but only if there's an Online Download option (none of this voucher nonsense requiring me to go to a store for, and gamble on). Maybe they'll do it around Halloween as a gift before Scarlet/Violet launch,

Well that's not really refusal if they ran out of them. Unless they actually didn't. My point was that I was never forced to buy anything for one.

Went yesterday and they were out. I told the guy they just got the cards the day before and he said they had a rush on them. That gamestop doesn't get 10 customers a week. Some employee is putting them on ebay. I have half a mind to call the manager.
