Disable "Mobile Services" app - it has nothing to with mobile services, instead it installs bloatware on its own.
Disable 1Weather app, Moto comes with its own weather widget.
Remove all permissions from My Account (can be removed) and Device Pulse (can't be disabled or removed), these track your usage.
Even when the phone is unlocked and you move to another service, these apps will continue to do their thing unless you disable or remove them.
It is upgradeable to android 11. I don't think it will receive android 12 upgrade since Motorola typically only gives 1 android version update.

Exactly why I didn't get this or the 2022 version. My G Stylus 2020 stereo speakers rock. As long as I'm buying out of want instead of need I can't imagine buying a phone without stereo speakers again.

Do you have an extra unlocked phone? Even though SIM swapping is frowned upon, maybe you can move your original SIM just for the purposes of getting the verification text. Ultimately I don't think it will mess up your account since you are immediately moving the service to the new phone.

I have an old phone that I kept and had been using, but I was just using wifi on it. The website no longer shows access to your old devices (at least I can't find it anymore). And last time I did this, years ago, it ended up eating all my minutes. Which was why I was reluctant to go that path in the first place. Buying a new pre-paid phone and stacking it on the old account was always so easy in the past
