With my 12-pounder, it wouldn't take long for those skinny supports to snap like twigs, or the thing fall over.

Wait for a deal on Armarkat which uses real wood, fiberglass, and metal, unlike this cheaply-made stuff constructed with cardboard and fibreboard.

FYI, this is a paid ad.

That "faux fur" is easily shredded as well. I got 2 pretty nice cat trees on Amazon during their early access sale a few days ago, one for $13 and one for $22. They are both roughly the size of this one lol

Those skinny supports would hold up fine. I have similar cat trees that use the same poles. Both have no issues supporting 16+ lb cats.

Really?
"Poor quality broke after a month
I was initially happy with my purchase and so were my two cats. Unfortunately tonight [the main column broke]. It was made out of paper."

"This tree is very cheaply made. We just put it together because we moved. It lasted 3 weeks and now it is becoming very wobbly. It is like putting felt on cardboard so my cats do not even like it. Not sturdy at all. I would never waste my money again. Not recommended."

My heavy Armakat that I got for the same price 2 years ago from the same retailer has been used and abused, and still looks new.

Read the 1 and 2-star reviews.

Some of the Amazon brand cat trees are pretty solid, too. I got one that has real carpet instead of that faux fur junk for a very reasonable price ($45), and it's still on sale.

edit: scratch that, looks like the sale is over
