I have both the intex tandem and single. There made from this plastic/pvc that feels cheap. But if you used it on a lake no windy day just sighting or for kids there great. I got them both on sale for like 100 bucks each.
Just by looking at the pictures maybe this one doesnt look like plastic/pvc.

ps.
the intex came with this beige bag and its preatty weak. i ended up buying a better bag on amazon that was able to fit both inflatbles.

Sevylor products are pretty robust in my experience. fiber woven into the outershell, etc. I figure for this price, these would be fun to tool around on the lake and enjoy a bit of time on water. They aren't going to see Cat 2+ activity, unless I am feeling really crazy, but they'll float at least Smilie

Any idea how they compare to Advanced ELements? Not super happy with my AE since I sliced it up on an oyster on the reinforced keel with hardly any impact. THanks

All I can tell is that the inter challengers suck and are too small for an adult sized human.

I wouldn't necessarily say they suck. I've had one for a number of years that I've taken on multiple floats and it's worked pretty great. It's been pretty durable and has held up with no holes. It is a bit on a small size, so anyone over 5'10" or so will be a bit cramped, but I do think it's a pretty good value, given that it was recently on sale for like $65.

I'm not an expert, nor do I even own a boat of any kind, but from my understanding, basically any floatation device with a motor will need to be registered. It could be a motor of a certain size, I forget, but that's roughly what I remember reading a few years back. So long story short, no this shouldn't need to be registered in California, but don't quote me on it.

Oysters are super sharp and will cut up anything that isn't rigid. Inflatables don't belong in oyster territory unfortunately.
