My experience with Coleman is that they have been the ONLY tent that did not leak in torrential downpours on our North Coast of California. Recently had a REI house brand 4 person tent leak at the seams and a Marmot 6 person that leaked. The build quality of the Marmot is excellent and after hitting it with fabric sealer, it's been fine, but it was a $350. tent and I would expected it to be a highly rated tent.

Try camping with it and you will see it's a great tent.

I did. I have one and I like it for the money. That's why I recommend it.

I don't know why people take offense to what I said - it's a good "disposable" tent. It did came with a snapped plastic piece out of the bag, was more difficult to set up than the kelty and MSR tents in our group, heavier than all of them, and the rainfly, stitching, and interior is just passable.

Would I take it on extreme conditions, such as in high winds or extreme cold? Hell no, in fact we were freezing due to the rainfly / mesh design when an unexpected storm came through. Would I take it with me to a mild car camping trip at a developed campsite / festival / backyard, where I don't want to put wear and tent on my nice tent? Hell yes, and I think this tent is the best buy for those uses. That's my point. It's not a nice tent. It's a cheap tent that gets the job done, and one affordable enough you don't care if it gets trashed.

"difficult to set up"? LOL..two poles is as easy as it gets. The more you post, the less believability you have.
