Amex plat credits harder to use than sapphire but the lounge access is better with the amex. Usually you use these cards in conjunction with a card that earns more points on your normal spend categories
Depends how you define better...
This one gets you $28 per person (up to 2 people) at the couple dozen PP restaurants at airports- Amex does not.
Also, one of the really nice perks of the Amex Plat was getting 2 guests free into the (admittedly very nice) centurion lounges with you-- and that benefit is going away in just over 2 months... after that unless you spend $75,000 a year on the card it'll cost you $50 per guest per visit.

Anyone know if they will reimburse global entry fee for anyone paid with the credit card? Since I already have a global entry and it doesnt' expire for another 2 years, i was going to get it for my wife.
Of course. They have no idea who you bought it for.... between the BUNCH of cards that do free GE annually I've bought it for at least a dozen friends and relatives by now.

If I have a CSR and I have my wife as an authorized user (she has an additional metal card). Can my wife apply for her own csr and get the bonus points?
Do I have to unauthorize her from my card first or downgrade my own card?
She can get her own.
Note Chase will sometimes count being an AU on someone elses card is one of the five for 5/24 purposes- but otherwise her being an AU on your card is irrelevant to Chase.

The plan would be for her to get the card put 4000 in expenses for the next few months, transfer her points to my card and then downgrade it to a freedom or some other card.
Would that work?
I applied and was approved for this card on Friday. Is there any way I can access my card number before I get the physical card? I have some purchases I would like to put on the card so I can hit that bonus and plan on making those purchases tomorrow.
I just downgraded my Sapphire Preferred card 2 days ago, does anyone know if I can apply for the CSR right away before the 80K deal expires by 11/30? I did get the CSP bonus more than 5 years ago so it is clear there, but the only thing is how soon can the CSP be taken off my profile so I have no sapphire card and can become eligible to apply for the Reserve card? Some one said it may take a month? Thanks!
Still by far the best card I own. Had this since it's inception at 100k bonus and have pretty much used all of the benefits it's offered. Plus, the international travel perks are awesome with Priority Pass lounge access. Points rack up quick too!

Nope.. you can only request they expedite shipping

I've seen people say wait a week or wait a month minimum.. in my case I waited a month, downgraded csr to freedom, then applied again for csr on Wednesday, no automatic approval, but got ups notification that I'm supposed to receive a package today.. so approved after a couple days.

I'm thinking of downgrading too. What did you downgrade to? And did you get an answer on how soon you can apply for Reserve?

Sure.
Yes...
However depending on your spending habits/categories other cards may be better to maximize your rewards. Yes EVEN cards with annual fees!

Check your credit report.. the initial offer of the csr at 100k points was in 2017. So more than 4 years ago.
