I was not a fan. I had the variety pack to try out. The flavor is lower than Peet's of comparable "level". What makes them the worst for me was that I would have capsules break open (accidental crushing or such) or filter breaks (grounds getting into coffee) with these capsules at least once every box (~once a week). My judgment is that the plastic capsules are just a bit too flimsy for me.

I've never tried these, but normally I dislike the plastic format because it's hard to recycle. Nespresso and Pete both have solid and easy recycling programs that I make use of. However, the price here is pretty impressive if they are actually good. Are they?

There is one person on slick that loves these. Starting to think that person is a bot. I've had the decaf ones before. It's ok. Not as strong as og or peets

If concerned about recycle, there is bestpresso which is close to Lavazza's flavor wise. Else, wait few days Costco's deal on starbucks's is coming which I feel are the best options with metal capsules and good variety.

I have gone through at least 1000 Lavazza capsules over the years without any issues you indicated above. While plastic capsules are less ideal, they function just fine. In terms of taste, Nespresso, illy, and Peets are still my top 3. I normally pick up Lavazza when it's on sale around $0.20-$0.25 per capsule.

That deal will be at $0.55/capsule or more than 2x higher priced.

I have never encountered an issue with plastic pods. Flavor-wise, this coffee is 2nd to Nespresso

But definitely not plastic & a lot more strength & flavor. Once you try that, its hard to try Lavazza or anything else. I usually re-brew the same capsule once more, makes the perfect cup.

They're terrible. Might be the worst capsules I've ever had on my Nespresso machine. The whole 'foil on the front and back, plastic capsule' bit isn't working for them.

They're cheap, but you get what you pay for. IMO, the only capsules I've ever used that are even worth bothering with (besides Nespresso) are Peet's, Illy, L'Or and Starbucks.

Anyone knows if the plastics are BPA free? Just concerned about related health issues from drinking hot water that came in contact with BPA plastics on a daily basis.

Can confirm, please buy the Peets ones they are 10x more tasty even if you run them as double shot and just add milk.

I have gone through several hundred pods of this and the flavor is fine. Though about 1/10 or 1/20 gets stuck in my machine and has to be pushed down. Not a big deal.

The accidental crushing definitely occurs with these pods more than any other brand in my opinion. I noticed that it will 100% occur if the pod is not loaded in the carrier perfectly aligned. The back (bottom) of the pod will interact with a plastic portion of the inside of the coffee maker and then it will dent and fail to produce coffee, resulting in hot water going into your cup and coffee grounds. This happens to me when my daughter loads my Nespresso (she really likes to help in the morning).
