I have this monitor. I like it, but I have no opinion on the technical specs of it.

What I do have an opinion on is AOC's warranty -- it's wonderful.

On monitors like this, on top of the standard warranty they have a one-time, no questions asked replacement warranty for the first year. Doesn't matter if the damage is your fault or not.

I accidentally hit my monitor with something while moving and it ruined it. Unuseable.

I requested a RMA and they provided one. Within a week or so I had my replacement monitor.
Being 1440p ultrawide and 144hz, this is pretty good at its price. You want something better like IPS with those specs? Prepare to pay double if not more.

went ahead and grabbed one, I have the 31.5" aoc q32g1wg4 monitor from a few years ago which is 2560x1440 and wondering if I will regret setting that and this up as a dual setup? Thoughts??

Thats really nice, I might have to try AOC. I had the exact opposite experience with Gigabyte, which is why I don't buy their crap anymore. They basically said F you sucker, and don't honor any warranty. It was impressive.

It's only on their "gaming" monitors, so just be aware of that.

I thought there would be some BS about getting it replaced because it was definitely my own fault for the damage.

I'm not going to say the process was painless (had to call support a few times), but for $500 (when I got it), it was worth the small hassle.

I bought this monitor in 2020 from Amazon when I started working from home. The monitor has been great for me. Never had any issues with it. I love having an ultrawide monitor via 2 monitors. I use it with my work PC laptop and my personal Mac mini. I also connect my iPad Pro to it.

It has 2 HDMI and 2 Display port inputs plus a USB hub. The only features missing are a USB C port and speakers.

My only negative about the monitor is that it says it has HDR but when I turn HDR on, I don't see any real difference in the picture quality.

I recommend this monitor.

I have 2 32" Auros and a 34" UW LG on one of my PCs. Having the UW and the 32" set up side by side drove me nuts because they were different-sized but had the same resolution. Setting the UW above or below using VESA mounts was fine though (use one for media consumption while I work or game on the other). It also works alright in the office where I have the 16:9 flipped vertically to monitor Zoom team chats. Basically, it works if its for a segregated task, but will probably bother you if you try to use it as a continuous workspace for productivity.

Also, I have had 2 AOC monitors and the only problem I've ever had with them was electrical buildup over DP. Unplugging the monitor and holding down the power button for 30 seconds once a month fixed the issue. Think I'll probably bite on this one too considering the rtings ratings on it.

I've had mine for over 2 years with no real compliants. I came from a TN panel so I noticed a slight bit more ghosting, but nothing intolerable. Monitor works as advertised at 144hz with G-sync. Don't think you can get a better deal on a monitor with these specs.
