I have this monitor. I like it, but I have no opinion on the technical specs of it.

What I do have an opinion on is AOC's warranty -- it's wonderful.

On monitors like this, on top of the standard warranty they have a one-time, no questions asked replacement warranty for the first year. Doesn't matter if the damage is your fault or not.

I accidentally hit my monitor with something while moving and it ruined it. Unuseable.

I requested a RMA and they provided one. Within a week or so I had my replacement monitor.

Being 1440p ultrawide and 144hz, this is pretty good at its price. You want something better like IPS with those specs? Prepare to pay double if not more.

Had this monitor for a couple years now. I use it as my main monitor in a multi monitor setup. Bought for about $100 more back then. Its a good budget 1440p 144hz ultrawide gaming monitor. The only downsides from my usage is just a bit of ghosting and the colors are a bit saturated compared to an IPS monitor but that's to be expected from VA monitors. For gaming, do double check that your PC has good enough specs to run 144 fps or whatever your target is at 1440p utlrawide.

if you don't care about the curve, the Gigabyte M34WQ (IPS) can be had for 399.99$ (right now on Amazon) or 299.99$ if you're willing to gamble on a Warehouse buy Wink
G34WQC (VA) has been ~300$ a few times too...


but yeah, their post is nonsense. anywhere around 300$ is a good price for a 34'' VA UWQHD.

I have two of these side-by-side. Owned them for about 2 years now. They're great for the price - I paid about $420 or so for each. So $312 is a no-brainer. The only other display that tempted me to upgrade was a 49" Odyssey.

No dead pixels. Bright enough unless maybe you have direct sunlight on your screen (I keep them 80% brightness in a moderately lit room). Resolution is good (3440x1440) for ultrawide curved monitors. Refresh rate goes 144hz and plays nice with both G-sync and Freesync. Covers most of the srgb and most of the Adobe RGB gamut for photo/video editing. Supports split-screen input (PIP) but see below for more info.

Cons (keeping in mind the price):

Menus / buttons are workable but awkward (as many monitors are). TIP: There is an AOC app that can control settings called "G-Menu". Very basic, however.

Input switching with the buttons/menus can be a nuisance if you're not quick enough before they timeout. Split screen/PIP option requires the use of the menus and it can be annoying if you switch options often.

The integrated USB hub is incredibly difficult/awkward to use. Forget it exists. The ports are on the rear of the display and located far enough up to make it problematic.

The monitors show an HDR option. That's a joke/lie. These are not bright enough to do anything with HDR. Also forget that this exists.

Elden Ring (and many other games) don't support ultrawide resolutions without hacks/mods. Not the monitor's fault, though!

Can't comment on the OEM stands because I didn't use them.


I'd strongly suggest learning to use Windows Snap (Windows Key + Arrow Keys) and Windows PowerToys - FancyZones. That makes managing screen real estate / windows much easier.

Oh, I already have this monitor for a bit about 2 years now, paid around $430 back then, good to see it's cheaper now. I really like the monitor.

I would not go with a flat monitor at that size, I have a 29 inch flat ultrawork at work, and it's borderline weird looking at it... Your field of view is more of a curve, so it's better off with a curved monitor at 34 inches.

I bought some USB hubs with extension cables for those ports. I just keep them coiled up on my desk behind the monitor.

I've had this monitor for 2 years. It's been rated one of the best budget VA 144hz ultrawide the last few years check out the review on RTINGS. I use mine for mostly office work and some light gaming. Never had any issues with it.

That's pretty amazing, but it was your fault you broke your monitor. They shouldn't be responsible for clearly your own damage to it. It's things like this that make a company go from a wonderful warranty for legitimate claims to a pain to get a legit item repaired. Don't abuse a great system with problems that are your issue.
