Once you go RoboRock you forgot all about the iRobot and how crappy they are.
Agreed, tried top of the line Roomba and also the cleaning mop a year or so ago, they would lock themselves in rooms with how much it bumped the doors. Returned both.

It's fine for me. It mapped out my floors and it automatically cleans daily. I can use voice assistance on Google home to say clean the dining room or clean the whole first floor if desired.
For me I spend all this time creating a map with no go zones and walls etc and the robot will just completely fark up the map and i have to start over

My roborock would get stuck on Berber carpet because they said it was "too high" and on hardwood floors because 🤷. I cannot stress how awful my roborock was. At least customer support at iRobot was helpful. My i7 drives me nuts at times but they have at least tried to fix it.

Yes unfortunately it does have height limits. I have the same issue with some rugs that are high pile. Cleans my hardwoods and carpets like a champ though. Love the return to dock, zoning etc etc etc.

The roborock app is poop.
I haven't had any issues with it using it on Android.

The best Roomba was the 980. If they had made a self emptying bin for it, it would've been the perfect Roomba. The mop is doo doo.

I have multiple rugs of varying height throughout my main level and Roborock handles them like a trooper. It does an OK job mopping, so now I just do a wet mop once every 2 weeks. It did get wedged between the toilet and wall on several occasions so that became a no go zone. I don't know why I didn't get one sooner- Roborocks is game changer for me

Does the Cleanbase alone ever get discounted or available refurbished?
I've got the regular i7 and looking to add the Cleanbase but I'm tempted to get this deal as I have never seen the Cleanbase for less than $200!

Great deal for an irobot with base. The base takes robotic vacuuming to a new level of convenience.

I can't get on board with roborock. They store customer data in russia and china per their privacy policy. For that alone I'm out: https://us.roborock.com/pages/privacy-policy

I came from the country where RoboRock was made. I will never use anything from this brand (owned by Xiaomi) or Huawei. I don't want them in my home network or physically collect any image, voice or other info in my house. Functionally I like Some of their products, but they sell cheap for a reason.

I put my S7+ on IOT network that is separate from all my other devices. I could careless about my homes floor plan being mapped. Alexa and Google devices are listening all the time anyway.

Does anyone have experience buying refurbed from them? Are they typically new returns, or repaired items? TIA!

I have a Roborock. Every few days it forgets how to get to back to the base. Or, more annoyingly, it will get suck under a chair. I dont think any brand is immune.
