Snagged one! Nice deal, and I've heard good things about the game. Had actually just bought this at $10 but had another return to make anyway…so I'll gladly take the $2.50 back. Thanks OP

Decent trick playing game with a twist, working together to make sure certain players win certain cards in certain orders with a gaggle of interesting twists. Definately worth the price. Got it at the last deal. Play it with my wife and 12 year old, both enjoy it as well.

I have the newer version: Crew; Mission Deep Sea and have played several sessions. It seems much better with more variety in goals (similar gameplay). A couple friends have said it's a direct upgrade, but others can chime in.

I'm the other chiming in. Both are great games but Deep Sea is really the 2.0 of this game. That being said, for this price you can't go wrong!

I've been completely addicted to both this version and the newer Deep Sea version. I play both online every chance I get. I recommend this version for those new to the game or anyone who wants a simpler game than Deep Sea, which I find more fun and challenging. Both are really fun co-op games, ideally for 4 people but there are variations for 2, 3, and 5 players s well.

Is this the kind of game you just play through once?

You can play through the story as many times as you want. The game comes with 50 missions but you can really play it in any order you want. they kind of ramp up in difficulty though, especially the first few missions are very easy.

Yes. And to add to that, you shuffle the task cards each hand. So the tasks and the players hands will vary every single time and it's never the same game twice.

To add on to what others have said: You may or may not actually make it all the way through the 50 Missions. They are short 5-10 min for a full playthrough of a Mission but there is no table-talk so much depends on whether or not the other players "get" how the game functions. Early Missions are forgiving but later ones are less so and can be real trying for players if one of the players doesn't fully get card game mechanics.

As an example: Cards are 1-9 in 4 suites. 4 Trump cards, 1-4. Each player plays in order one card. High card wins the Trick. MISSION: The number 1 card for each suit must each win a Trick.

Replayability: By the time you are to Mission 50, the earlier ones will be painfully easy, so they will be skipped. The rest will be quite fun.

Anything under $10 for this game is a worthwhile deal as it is really fun.

Where do you play them online at and are they free that way?

https://boardgamearena.com/

There are a ton of games on there, including Crew & Deep Sea. Features and game access varies between the free & paid tiers. For both Crew games, it's free to play up to Mission 10. If you want to play beyond that, there has to be at least one premium member at the table. Often there is. Premium membership is $30 per year. I'm grandfathered in at the old rate of $24/year, but either way it's worth it to me.
