I really want to get a larger drive for my laptop but I don't know what tech gives the longest lifespan. I don't need the fastest but I want it to last a long time. What do you guys recommend?

This drive has a warranty of 5 years. I can imagine this will last longer than that.

When they have 92K rep and post computer part deals all the time, they're fully aware of what info is relevant to the post. It's laziness. Who's the bigger d-bag, the one calling it like it is or the one not posting info? And before answering the question, know that I am consistently upvoted when I post this information (without commentary), and the OP is consistently downvoted for not posting this info...
I'm with you. People on here don't like it when you call things like they are, which is ridiculous and just plain childish of them. It's like when I call out all the lazy people who ask a question they could have easily Googled in 10 seconds. No one is under any obligation to sugar coat things and be like, "Hey. I'm not trying to be mean, but it would've really helped if you added this info."

Screw that. We're a bunch of strangers on the internet. There's no point in beating around the bush. I prefer people like you. You say what you mean. There would be a lot less stupid in the world if more people like us would just straight up tell people they're being dumb or lazy, instead of trying to coddle them so they don't have a single moment of feeling bad.

IT IS HEAT SINK COMPATIBLE BUT NOT WITH IT! By the time you get the heat sink, it'll be equal to buying a Samsung or western digital normal price 1tb or 2TB with the heat sink!

Thank you. Does anyone have experience using this with their PS5? Does it need an additional heatsink?

A reminder that there is a site called 'Reddit' for everyone wanting to display all the shit parts of engaging with other humans.

I'm looking for a monster build by April of next year and hope to have 3 or 4 PCIe x 4 2TB or greater NvMEs. Would be a wee bit helpful having them sooner, but for fiscal reasons I can wait.

I think I should wait a bit, right? Do we ever see 4TB PCIe 4x0 hitting the same price per TB as the 2TB drives?

I'd buy now if we're within a 10% price window of what everything will be in the next 6 months.

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't buy more than one unless you absolutely need it right away since prices keep sinking and speeds keep going up. If you need it by April, buy in March, not now.
Also, I have this SSD in my PS5 with a $10 heat sink, works perfect.
