since they're sennheiser factory refurbished and come with a great warranty, this is a fantastic deal. it may even be superior to the amazon deal for the 599 and 599se for $90 non refurbished, just a personal preference choice there. If it's 3rd party repaired, then I worry, but I don't worry much at all if it's the official company that made it that does the repairs.

It sounds like these are not refurbished, as in repaired, but more of open-box style returns. From the Sennheiser site - "Sennheiser refurbished products are returned products with only minor cosmetic imperfections". The two year warranty is the same as brand new Sennheiser headphones. If it was me, I would pay the $10 extra for new to not have to worry about the condition. I do own the 599SE and they are excellent for the money. I have about a dozen headphones, and they are the best bang for the buck after the HD6XX.

It sounds like these are not refurbished, as in repaired, but more of open-box style returns. I jumped on the 560S deal. Is it just me or is ordering from Sennheiser direct not great. I've gotten no confirmation or anything lol. It's like it went into the void. Quite abnormal considering the quality of their products.
