Okay price for those specs.

I got excited when I read the alert! I thought that brand was ADATA's super high end… Was I thinking of a different one?

If you do a search for XPG Gammix it leads you to an ADATA website so I think you are correct. Also found this blurb off a different website:
"XPG (XTREME PERFORMANCE GEAR) was established by ADATA to provide high-performance products to gamers, esports pros, and tech enthusiasts."

Will this fit a laptop? I suspect NVMe with heatsink will only fit desktop
Edit: no, will need to remove the heatsink for that

Crappy read speeds by Gen4 standards, but this isn't a bad deal for someone who needs a ton of storage. I've personally never seen a 2TB nvme drive this cheap.

Considering that load time for a game with a SSD (500MB/s) vs NVMe (3500 MB/s) is about the same, aside the relative speeds, 2TB at this price is nice for a game storage.

This is pretty much an extra storage drive like a basic Crucial . On the other hand the pci gen 4 model they make: XPG GAMMIX S70 BLADE is quite good.

After the hardware changes ADATA has made to their previous drives that has affected performance, I honestly dont trust them. Their first batch of drives tend to be good, then they cheap out and ship out lesser drives with the same name without updating it. They have done this a few times. Shady business practice.

Had a flash card went bad, contacted tech support who gave me RMA and I shipped in my card. Never got it back and never got a reply from them either when I queried.

Haven't bought another ADATA product since
