I had a 13 pro max and now have a 14 pro max. No the 13 pro max case case doesn't fit the 14 pro max. The camera bump is larger and the buttons don't align.

Sounds like you had a bad one, should have exchanged it.

I have an Apple leather case on my 13 Pro Max for about a year now. It definitely shows some wear, as all leather cases do, but functionally it's great and feels very high quality.

I got one from Apple a few months ago after using the more typical silicone and two-piece cases. This leather case got very annoying recently in that it would press on the screen when playing games, resulting in dead taps. I also had my first instance of a screen protector cracking from a drop with this case. It just didn't give enough clearance above the screen.

I just went back to my old Incipio Duo case and much prefer it overall. The slimness of the Apple leather wasn't worth it. It'll probably work for someone who 100% babies their phone.

I disagree with the 13 line.
Its true the 12 line leather cases were terrible. They peeled on the sides, the case would slip off. I have the sequoia for my 13 pro max since launch. Still in excellent shape and it fits the phone like a glove. Doesnt feel loose or slip off easy. Its perfect.
