I've not flown this model, but it should be dead nuts simple to fly. High wing, huge landing gear, and SAFE takes care of everything for you in-flight. As close to hands off you'll get in an R/C plane. It comes with a simple 7-channel Spektrum transmitter which is more than adequate. Spektrum is quality, Horizon makes good planes. This is a solid deal.

I think simple "flying wings" or planes with dihedral (not horizontal wings, but bend upwards) are easier because they have one less axis and control to worry about.

RTF: Ready to Fly (no other parts to purchase)
SAFE: Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope (makes it easy to fly)
Vaguely remember this being closer to $100.

Yes - fly it on a calm day with zero wind. I mean zero. Early morning or later evening.
Find a nice, big open field to fly it with no people, cars, houses around.
Flying a plane is not like driving a car. That third axis is a pretty steep learning curve. With SAFE, though, this one is a great starter kit.
