I'd just fork over the extra $100 and get the Echelon EX3 smart bike from Big Lots. Having cadence and power as well as automated resistance is well worth it.

Pretty black and white assessment of things here. You can either like bottom of the barrel products or you must be some sort of rich snob who wants to spend 2-grand on a product. No wiggle room in between there at all?

Wife's been using her Sunny bike for 6 or 7 years (4-5 times a week) now. Watches videos on the tv in workout room and has never complained….until a week ago. Said there's a lot of noise when standing to pedal. Turns out the chain needed tightened. She told me thanks and has been using it every day since.
Edit: it was a slick deal bike a few years back. Solid as hell.
