The non-oxi versions were lower.
I agree; not a top of the line product but good mid-level for general cleaning at a good price.

You're kinda missing the point. I don't typically have blood, coffee, salad dressing, and dirt all over my clothes. So, if I wear a shirt to the gym, and then throw it into the wash after the gym… this A&H comes out to only 5.7 cents per load and received an overall "Good" rating from CR. So, do I really need the more expensive Tide or Persil on a shirt that isn't stained and I may have only worn for a few hours?
Again, this A&H did receive an overall "Good" rating by CR, so it's not like it's terrible crap detergent. It's just not Persil or Tide's top performers… but those detergents are all considerably more expensive than this A&H Oxi — which comes in at less than 6 cents a load. Also, the last A&H I bought on a previous SD deal had a very good scent (the Clean Burst scent version).

Here's where we apparently don't agree. I do have Persil Pro Clean and Tide Stain Fighter detergents - CR's very best rated detergents. The A&H DOES actually clean very well in my personal experience… and has the added benefit of an excellent smell/fragrance. So, when I'm washing a load of clothes that aren't that dirty and definitely are not stained… do I really need to use my more expensive Persil ProClean or Tide Ultra Stain Release on EVERY load? I say — No, I don't.
And cheaper at Target after GC if you buy the bigger bottles x3.
Same. I thought everyone had different detergents for different loads of laundry. Guess not.
I clean airbnbs and do laundry at my house. No need to use persil on everything all the time.

Not really. Most of those are just older detergent ingredients that have been replaced.
I was a mechanic and what I do is pre-treat any major areas with watered down detergent, 50/50 water/Detergent. Then wash as normal after.
That seemed to work better than adding "boosters". Also if really dirty use better detergents. The Kirkland costco brand works almost as well as the top of the line ones at a mid-grade price.
