This is how much this stuff cost before pandemic inflation. I get it prices go up, but for electronics (especially ones that are 2-3 years old), they should go down. You're better off waiting for a Sonos refurb deal (or the id.me deals ymmv) unless you want the Costco warranty.

Hope they accidentally stack the discounts on the ARC. Still loving my Beam though.

Edit: for clarity, I'm referencing a PM on the Beam 3 years ago where they applied a discount for the Beam and one intended for the Bar on the Beam making it 180.

For anyone wondering if this is worth it.... I made a pandemic purchase of the Arc, the full size subwoofer and two "Sonos One" speakers to set up surround sound for my tv.... Watching Maverick and hearing the planes go side to side AND from the floor up to the ceiling when he punches through the pair of them to start the training sequence is ... exceptional.

Not sure what that's about. There was a software bug that was limiting some of the bass output of the sub, but that was fixed in the last update. I have most of the speakers, and I rarely have any issues.

Damn, I bought my Beam 2 from Costco 3 months ago. This is a great price. Has been worth every penny. (Coming from a janky Vizio whose firmware never did ARC correctly and would always go out of sync).

Forget the Arc even if you have the money. The beam 2 and a pair of Sonos One are still cheaper than the Arc. Then just ask a Sub mini later. Even Peter Pee, the Sonos guy from youtube, said that the Arc may be about 10% better than the Beam 2 now that both supports Atmos, but not double the performance as its price suggests.

Seriously the best ever! I'm currently using the Beam 1st gen, no Atmos from that deal. I think about upgrading to the Arc sometimes, but the value I am getting on the price I paid for the Beam keeps me from upgrading. Does anyone have both? Is the Arc worth the upgrade?

Nope, the mic gets disabled on the Ones when paired as surround.
