On Samsung's website, the S-Pen alone is $40-60 depending on the device (the one for the Fold 3 is $50), so it's a good/great deal just for that.

no, the fold pens only work with folds 3 and 4. The ones made for the s series tablets work in the laptop that support the pen. I have all those devices and pens, so I tested all of those together. The only one that works with all of them, albeit, by flicking a switch, is the s pen pro. Made for the fold and tablets/laptops

This pen is great. The case on the other hand is awful. I baby my phones and mine broke in a few months and was unusable. You can use the pen with the phone regardless so for that it's probably worth it.

Also this pen works with the fold 4 so if you just wanted the pen, this may be a good way to get that? Not sure what they go for on their own.

Fold pen only works on the Fold phone. S pen pro will work for waht you have.
